Job summary

RTC Resources Ltd. is seeking an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee a growing children's residential service in Manchester.

The role suits an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to progress, with focus on safeguarding, Ofsted compliance and regulated care standards. You will lead a high-performing team, develop individual care plans and manage referrals, budgets and placement occupancy while collaborating with families and local authorities to

Responsibilities

Job description

RTC Resources is working with a growing children's residential care provider that is looking to appoint an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to support the development of its services across Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, to join a developing organisation and play a key role in the growth of its children's residential provision.

The services support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a safe, nurturing and high-quality home while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations.

The Role

• Leading and developing a high-performing residential care team
• Ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations
• Supporting the service through registration and ongoing regulatory inspections
• Recruiting, supervising and developing staff
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and quality assurance
• Developing individualised care plans for children and young people
• Managing referrals, placements and occupancy
• Working closely with families, social workers, local authorities and other professionals
• Monitoring budgets, staffing levels and operational performance
• Creating a positive, stable and supportive environment for the children and young people within the home

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a children's residential care setting
• Experience working at Registered Manager or Deputy Manager level
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted, safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations
• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards this
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• A child-centred and professional approach
• The ability to build and develop a successful residential service
• A full UK driving licence
