Registered Manager

Service: 4 Bed Children's Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Ilford, East London (IG1)

Salary: Up to £67,000 per year

We're looking for a Registered Manager to take the lead in an EBD children's home in Ilford. The home's backed by an experienced care group with a strong track record, and you'll have the space and support to run things properly with quality, stability and outcomes at the centre.

This is a great role for someone who knows what good care looks like, understands what Ofsted expects, and can build a team culture where staff feel supported and young people feel safe, seen and understood.

You'll be responsible for registering with Ofsted and leading the service day-to-day. That means everything from compliance, quality assurance and safeguarding through to team development, rota planning and budgeting.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the home and registering as the RM with Ofsted
• Driving a culture of consistency, safety and child-focused practice
• Supporting and developing staff through regular supervision and training
• Managing performance, rotas, audits and ongoing service improvement
• Building strong working relationships with local authorities, families and professionals
• Keeping the service compliant, financially sound and inspection-ready

What you'll need:

• At least 2 years' experience in children's residential care, with 1 year at supervisory level
• A solid understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regs and Ofsted frameworks
• Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
• Previous Ofsted registration is ideal, but not essential
• Strong, grounded leadership style and a full UK manual driving licence
