Job summary

Valley Care is seeking a Registered Care Manager for its home care service in Hull & East Riding. You will support and grow branch locations, ensuring daily operation of high quality care services and promoting the business professionally.

You will lead a team of staff, recruit to meet demand, and drive outstanding care standards while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong relationships with authorities and partners.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Previous experience as a registered manager is desirable.

Valley Care are looking for a Registered Care Manager to join our home care service in Hull & East Riding.

As a Registered Manager, your role will be to support and grow the branch locations, ensuring the effective day to day operation of high quality care support services are in place. You will be working alongside colleagues to promote the business in a professional light.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the effective day to day operation of high quality care support services
• Ensure that sufficient staff are recruited to meet the service demand and plans for growth
• Strive to develop and deliver care of the highest possible standard
• Build and maintain relationships with Commissioners and Partner Agencies as appropriate
• Maintaining a strong presence within the care team and with service users, promoting an approachable and personable service.
• Managing and developing recruitment strategies and functions to ensure that there are sufficient care workers available
• Ensure that the branch operates within budget and hits financial targets
• Line management of the team of care coordinators, administrators and care staff, ensuring people have regular supervision and appraisal
• Lead the team in achieving key performance indicators and targets
• Deliver the highest standard of care, service and staff support with the aim of achieving outstanding inspection results
• Lead and manage the branch with the support of your care management team and our central support team
• Ensuring that Local Authority / CCG / CHC/Self Funder contracts are being adhered to
• Ensuring that the branch is meeting its legislative requirements and remains fully compliant with CQC standards and Key Lines of Enquiry;
• Responsible for the local management of hourly care and live-in care services
• To be Registered with the CQC
• Participate in the branch on-call function when the business need arises
• To update key training where necessary to carry out the full responsibility of the role

Requirements

• Have a right to work within the UK
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role
• Previous experience working as a registered manager is desirable.
