An established industry player is seeking a Building Control Surveyor for an exciting contract role. Our client is looking for a Building Control Surveyor to join them for a contract role.
This role is with our local authority client based in Surrey and it will initially be offered as a 12 week contract but could be extended.
The role will be very autonomous, and you will be expected to undertake complex assessment work under minimal supervision. You will work on all project types within the Class 2 (minimum) limitations outlined in the requirements of the Building Safety Act to include new building developments and alterations to existing buildings, including residential, industrial, retail, schools, hospitals, theatres and sports establishments.
This role will require key life safety decision making skills and technical expertise to ensure buildings are safe and compliant for occupants so we are looking for an established Surveyor who as undertaken a similar role within a Local Authority.
Our client is interested to receive applications from candidates registered from Class 2A through to Class 2F.
The rate offered will depend on your level of registration, but starts at £56.88/hr (umbrella). Our client offers hybrid working and you will be required to manage your own workload.
You will need to be able to attend site visits across the district and must have access to your own vehicle.
