Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Vice President of Cyber Security for the UK & Ireland, based in London with hybrid working. You will embed with regional business units, partner with risk, compliance, and legal teams, and drive cyber resilience through practical security improvements and executive-level influence.

The role requires strong business acumen, stakeholder judgement, and solid technical credibility across offensive security, cyber risk, and security architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10–15 years in cyber security or a financial services security role.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC GSSP, OSWE, SABSA).

Responsibilities

• Act as regional cyber advisor and orchestrator for cross-functional activities.
• Provide senior cyber advisory and constructive challenge to business and tech teams.
• Lead regulatory alignment activities, readiness reviews, and remediation tracking.
• Prepare clear executive updates for stakeholders and committees.
• Support client, business, and external engagements with cyber input.
• Review complex cyber issues and contribute to solution design.
• Translate security insights into risk-based remediation plans.
• Drive improvements across governance, metrics, and processes.
