Job summary

Priority Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting a Regional Support Manager to oversee children's residential services across the Northwest, including Preston, Burnley, Manchester and Liverpool. This senior role provides leadership to Registered Managers and care teams, safeguarding compliance and regional performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within children's residential care.
• Previous management or senior leadership experience within residential childcare.
• Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
• QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop Registered Managers and care teams.

• Providing operational guidance and support to Registered Managers.
• Supporting residential services to maintain high standards of care.
• Monitoring safeguarding, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting preparation for Ofsted inspections and responding to improvement requirements.

• Supporting staff development, supervision and leadership performance.

Shift and Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Service: Children's Residential Care – Regional Support

Client Group: Children and young people aged 8–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)

This is a senior leadership role supporting children's residential services across the region, helping maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, regulatory compliance and operational performance.

We are looking for an experienced and confident children's residential professional who can provide effective leadership, support Registered Managers and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people.

Successful Candidate:

• Extensive experience within children's residential care
• Previous management or senior leadership experience within residential childcare
• Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
• QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
• Ability to support, motivate and develop Registered Managers and care teams
• Strong operational, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Flexible approach to working across Preston, Burnley, Manchester and Liverpool
• Passionate about maintaining high-quality residential care and improving outcomes for young people
