Job summary

Lidl GB in Wednesbury is seeking a Store Maintenance Operative to oversee upkeep and improvements across our stores and warehouses in the region. You will handle groundwork repairs, plumbing, painting and decorating, and use power tools to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

The role is full-time, 45 hours per week, with a salary of £32,000–£34,000 per annum. Benefits include 30 days' holiday, 10% in-store discount, enhanced family leave, a contributory pension, ongoing training, and career

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance work.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
• Flexibility with regards to working hours as some evenings and weekends will be required.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable (i.e. NVQ, BTEC).
• An eye for detail in a busy working environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural maintenance in both stores and warehouses.
• Attend to general building and labouring work.
• Put your decorating skills to good use, including painting and tiling.
• Confidently carry out general plumbing duties.
• Frequently use power tools.
• Undertake PPM visits to store and work proactively to find and repair faults.
• Collaborate and work alongside external contractors to complete complex maintenance tasks.
• Follow and encourage good working practices whilst being the health and safety guru.
