Job summary

Lidl is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Operative to support our Peterborough distribution centre. You will maintain equipment, fix breakdowns, and support multiple warehouse teams. A 20-hour contract is offered with the potential for 20–40 hours, plus holiday pro rata and other benefits.

Successful candidates will have experience with PPTs, LLOPs and FLTs, possess strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrate reliability and attention to safety. Training is provided to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Confidence working with mechanical equipment (PPTs, LLOPs and FLTs).
• Ability to operate, repair, and maintain machinery within the warehouse.
• Experience with hand tools and lifting equipment.
• Motivation, positivity and initiative.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines.
• Eye for detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Continually manage, repair, and service our fleet and update service schedules and records.
• Sort out issues and fix breakdowns, supporting all departments within our warehouse team.
• Problem solve and fault find on a range of Mechanical Handling Equipment.
• Collaborate with external contractors to complete complex maintenance tasks.
• Follow and encourage good working practices whilst being health and safety guru.
• Can offer 20-40 hour contract to the right candidate, depending on preference.
