Covering Northern territories - Sheffield to Scotland
Are you an experienced foodservice sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing customers and growing a territory?
We're recruiting for a fast-growing specialist supplier to the UK and Ireland foodservice sector, supplying a high-quality portfolio of frozen and ambient food products through foodservice wholesalers, distributors, restaurant groups, QSR operators and franchise businesses.
This is a highly autonomous field sales role where you'll own an established geographical territory, developing existing relationships while identifying and converting new opportunities.
Importantly, you won't be doing it alone.
You’ll be supported by an internal sales team who proactively identify opportunities and book customer and prospect meetings for you, allowing you to spend more of your time where you add the most value – out in the market, meeting customers, developing relationships and growing sales.
You’ll manage and develop customers across foodservice, wholesale, distribution and multi-site operator channels, taking responsibility for the overall commercial development of your region.
A large part of the role is about understanding your customers: how their businesses operate, where opportunities exist and how you can increase product penetration and build stronger, longer-term commercial relationships.
Alongside developing existing accounts, you’ll also identify new opportunities across your territory. With support from the internal sales team generating leads and arranging meetings, you’ll be able to focus on face-to-face customer engagement, presentations, product trials, negotiations and converting opportunities.
The underlying brief puts considerable emphasis on both territory growth and developing existing accounts, including increasing product penetration and customer basket size.
Relevant food industry experience is essential.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in foodservice, food wholesale, restaurant groups, QSR/fast food, food distribution or hospitality supply.
You’ll need a successful background in B2B field sales and be comfortable managing a geographical territory and building relationships with senior commercial decision-makers.
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, growing business where you’ll have genuine ownership of your territory without being left to generate every opportunity yourself.
You’ll have the support of an internal sales team helping to fill your diary, a strong and expanding product portfolio and the freedom to build meaningful relationships across your region.
The business offers significant autonomy, performance-related earning potential and genuine career progression as the commercial team continues to expand.
£50,000 basic salary (DOE) | £65,000+ OTE | Car allowance
If you have experience within foodservice, food wholesale or restaurant groups and enjoy developing customers and growing a territory, we'd love to hear from you.
