Portfolio has an exciting opportunity with an industry-leading, award-winning employer seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated Regional/Field Sales Manager. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of improving sales performance and will join an already successful national team. The package includes a basic salary of up to 60k, a 5k car allowance or company car, quarterly and annual bonuses based on regional BDM performance, with an OTE of 85k-100k plus other group benefits.

The business has experienced substantial growth over the past 5 years, with an annual turnover exceeding 40 million and a unique client base of over 15,000. They are looking to bring in an exceptional individual to help manage the expansion of their successful business model.

In this role, you will work closely with the Sales Director and manage a team of field-based BDMs in your assigned region, focusing on developing business with SME/Medium-sized employers by providing solution-based business services.

You will also collaborate with the Head of Telesales and the Telesales management team to ensure the quality and quantity of appointments remain high.

What you’ll bring to the Organisation

  • Proven experience managing, driving, and motivating a field sales team to meet sales targets.
  • Experience leading high-performing sales teams, ideally with exposure to selling into the SME market.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and monitor the sales process and pipeline.
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to quickly understand key figures impacting sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the success of all new hires.
  • Ensure that the "New Hire Training Program" is explicitly implemented for all initial sales training.
  • Determine developmental levels and objectives for each BDM.
  • Develop corrective action plans for each direct report, utilizing both directive and supportive coaching styles.
  • Work with the Sales Director to review performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Plan and commit to a schedule with each BDM based on productivity and developmental level.
  • Utilize coaching and field evaluations during field accompaniment.
  • Focus coaching on specific developmental objectives.
  • Conduct productive sales meetings focused on skill development.
  • Prepare and conduct semi-annual and annual reviews for all BDMs.

Additional requirements:

  • Must have a full, clean driving license. Regular driving is essential for this role.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK as required.
