Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a senior programme lead to implement and manage the strategic direction and delivery of Accredited Programmes, Structured Interventions and Senior Attendance Centres for people on probation. You will lead a mobile, dispersed regional team and ensure resources and governance are aligned with policy and safeguarding standards.

The role emphasises effective risk management, cross-agency collaboration, and continuous improvement within audit and performance targets,

Qualifications

Experience leading multi-disciplinary probation teams.
Understanding of probation and the criminal justice system.
Ability to evaluate practice and manage performance.

Responsibilities

Provide effective line management and leadership to a diverse regional team.
Ensure interventions are delivered in line with programme manuals, performance and audit standards, and risk management.
Strategic oversight of resource use, staff rotas, and contingency planning for continuity of delivery.
Ensure a pool of fully trained Programme Facilitators with required training.
Lead in promoting Accredited Programmes, Structured Interventions and SAC; ensure access to clear programme information.
Maintain quality standards, audit compliance, and manage poor performance and complaints to minimise risk.
Prepare annual team plans and review resource allocation to meet public protection duties.
