Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead standalone main contracting schemes across Berkshire and Oxfordshire. You will take full ownership from pre-construction through groundworks, envelope, and high-spec fit-out to handover, with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

The role requires a proven track record with regional main contractors, strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject, and a commitment to safety and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Project Manager or Senior Site Manager on standalone schemes within 2M–10M for a regional main contractor.
• Strong track record delivering commercial, education, industrial, or high-spec refurbishments.
• Based within daily commuting distance of Reading / West Berkshire (within ~45 minutes of M4 corridor).
• CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, First Aid, and proficiency in Asta Powerproject; a Degree or HND in Construction Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full Site Ownership: lead Project Manager on standalone schemes up to 10M, owning safety, operations, and client relationships.
• Programme Execution: drive site progress using Asta Powerproject, coordinating internal teams, subs, and consultants.
• Client & Design Liaison: manage relationships with client teams, architects, and QS on JCT Design & Build and traditional contracts.
• Quality & H&S: uphold site safety, logistics, and QA to regional main contracting standards.
