Job summary

Gowan Company is seeking a Regional Payroll Specialist to own the operational delivery, financial integrity and statutory compliance of payroll across EMEA, the UK and designated APAC entities. You will work closely with HR, Finance and outsourced providers to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll while maintaining strong controls and supporting month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' multi-country payroll experience.
• Strong UK payroll and HMRC knowledge.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers (e.g. ADP).
• Payroll accounting, journals and reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP experience preferably JD Edwards.
• Experience working within a multinational organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• CIPP qualification (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll lifecycle across regions (EMEA, UK, APAC).
• Manage payroll accounting, journals and reconciliations.
• Ensure PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and PSA compliance.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and outsourced payroll providers.
• Governance, controls and audit readiness for payroll processes.
• Payroll transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
