Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee and optimise operational activities across designated regions, with emphasis on South Central. You will line manage field teams, supervise asset and void management, and ensure safety and compliance for our portfolio.

Based in Oxford, this role offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle, Simplyhealth, 25 days annual leave and a Blue Light Card, with regular daytime hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Regional Operations Manager or Estate Manager covering a large portfolio in social housing or charitable settings.
• Commercial mindset; understands financial and operational constraints.
• Experience of Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise operational activities across designated regions.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the property portfolio and line manage field teams.
• Manage staff, third party contractors, asset management, void management and property compliance.
• Ensure staff comply with safety regulations and PPE provision.
• Review customer feedback and implement improvements.
• Present reports to Senior Leadership Team on metrics like property standards, voids, staff performance and customer satisfaction.

About you:

• Proven track record as a Regional Operations Manager or Estate Manager covering a large portfolio preferably in a social housing or charitable setting.
• Be commercial; recognising the financial and operational limitations we operate within.
• Experience of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - strong, confident communicator.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

What you'll be doing:

• The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is responsible for overseeing and optimising operational activities across designated regions.
• The ROM is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our property portfolio and line managing the field teams that service the portfolio in the designated region.
• The role requires efficient management of staff, third party contractors, asset management, void management, and property compliance.
• Ensure all staff comply with safety regulations and are adequately equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their roles.
• Review customer feedback and implement improvements as necessary.
• Present reports to the Senior Leadership Team on key metrics such as property standards, voids, staff performance and customer satisfaction.
