About The Role
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of soft FM services to our expanding client base.
This is a full-time role requiring regular travel to client sites within and around Manchester. Flexibility on working hours is necessary, with some weekend work and potential overnight stays for longer-distance travel.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement the company's strategy to achieve objectives.
- Review financial forecasts and company targets.
- Lead, motivate, and manage your team to implement company strategies and meet objectives.
- Provide clear roles, responsibilities, objectives, KPIs, and regular performance feedback.
- Manage poor performance in line with HR guidance, including disciplinary actions if necessary.
- Manage absence of direct reports according to company policies.
- Communicate regularly with your region on business objectives and team performance.
- Ensure all reports are aware of their responsibilities regarding Health & Safety, Environmental, Sustainability, and Quality policies.
- Win new business to meet budget targets and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, decision-makers, staff, and external bodies.
- Attend customer meetings as required.
- Develop service offerings aligned with client needs and respond to concerns with corrective actions.
- Improve regional gross profitability through effective estimating, project management, and cost control.
- Ensure projects meet financial targets and address potential shortfalls.
- Escalate commercial issues to Managing Directors when appropriate.
- Proactively ensure legislative compliance and maintain standards.
- Establish and communicate organizational arrangements within your responsibility areas.
- Collaborate with the health and safety team to support training for managers and operatives.
- Ensure project resources meet legislative and contractual requirements.
- Support and liaise with the health and safety team to monitor projects throughout the construction phase.
Qualifications And Skills
- Experience managing a large team delivering high-value turnover.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete it within 3 months.
- Management of Health and Safety policies and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Commercial awareness and experience in managing WIP reporting.
- Full driving license.
