Job description

About The Role

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of soft FM services to our expanding client base.

This is a full-time role requiring regular travel to client sites within and around Manchester. Flexibility on working hours is necessary, with some weekend work and potential overnight stays for longer-distance travel.

Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Implement the company's strategy to achieve objectives.
  2. Review financial forecasts and company targets.
  3. Lead, motivate, and manage your team to implement company strategies and meet objectives.
  4. Provide clear roles, responsibilities, objectives, KPIs, and regular performance feedback.
  5. Manage poor performance in line with HR guidance, including disciplinary actions if necessary.
  6. Manage absence of direct reports according to company policies.
  7. Communicate regularly with your region on business objectives and team performance.
  8. Ensure all reports are aware of their responsibilities regarding Health & Safety, Environmental, Sustainability, and Quality policies.
  9. Win new business to meet budget targets and optimize resource utilization.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, decision-makers, staff, and external bodies.
  11. Attend customer meetings as required.
  12. Develop service offerings aligned with client needs and respond to concerns with corrective actions.
  13. Improve regional gross profitability through effective estimating, project management, and cost control.
  14. Ensure projects meet financial targets and address potential shortfalls.
  15. Escalate commercial issues to Managing Directors when appropriate.
  16. Proactively ensure legislative compliance and maintain standards.
  17. Establish and communicate organizational arrangements within your responsibility areas.
  18. Collaborate with the health and safety team to support training for managers and operatives.
  19. Ensure project resources meet legislative and contractual requirements.
  20. Support and liaise with the health and safety team to monitor projects throughout the construction phase.
Qualifications And Skills
  1. Experience managing a large team delivering high-value turnover.
  2. IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete it within 3 months.
  3. Management of Health and Safety policies and standards.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  5. Knowledge of CDM regulations.
  6. Commercial awareness and experience in managing WIP reporting.
  7. Full driving license.
