Job summary

We Care Group & Summit Care Group is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of care homes across the North West. You will provide inspirational leadership to Home Managers and ensure safe, person-centred care while driving performance and sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a senior operational role within a care home or adult social care environment.
• Proven track record of managing multiple care homes or services across a region.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Providing inspirational leadership and direction to Home Managers across the region.
• Ensuring consistently high standards of safe, effective and person-centred care.
• Driving compliance with CQC regulations, legislation, safeguarding requirements and internal policies.
• Supporting homes to achieve and maintain positive inspection outcomes.
• Developing and implementing regional improvement plans where required.
• Monitoring quality indicators, audits, incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.
• Ensuring effective clinical governance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing Home Managers to maximise their potential.
• Building a strong leadership pipeline and supporting succession planning.
• Promoting a positive culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Supporting recruitment, retention, workforce planning and colleague engagement.
• Monitoring occupancy, budgets, staffing costs and financial performance across the region.
• Identifying commercial opportunities and supporting the sustainable growth of the homes.
• Working collaboratively with People, Quality, Finance, Operations and other central support functions.
• Building effective relationships with residents, relatives, commissioners, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
• Supporting new home openings, acquisitions, integration and organisational change where required.
• Ensuring regional objectives are achieved and that best practice is shared across the portfolio.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have responsibility for the operational performance, quality of care and overall success of a portfolio of care homes across the North West. You will provide strong, visible leadership to Home Managers, ensuring they have the support, guidance and accountability required to deliver excellent outcomes for residents and sustainable business performance.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an accomplished care leader who can demonstrate:

• Substantial experience in a senior operational role within a care home or adult social care environment.
• Previous experience managing multiple care homes or services across a region.
• A strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance.
• A proven track record of improving care quality and operational performance.
• Experience of leading, coaching and developing Home Managers.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management and financial performance.
• Experience of managing complex operational challenges and delivering sustainable improvements.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to analyse data, identify trends and turn insight into effective action.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A resilient, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• A genuine passion for improving the lives of residents and supporting colleagues.
