A leading company in the utilities sector is seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee Wastewater Asset Maintenance teams in Sussex. This senior management role involves ensuring asset availability, leading a large workforce, and implementing maintenance strategies. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee the performance of our Sussex-based Wastewater Asset Maintenance teams, ensuring assets are available for use as designed within the region.
In this senior management role, you will deploy and rigorously apply the corporate maintenance strategy to ensure planned preventative maintenance schedules are followed, enabling assets to operate to their design capacity and supporting wider objectives in Wastewater Environment, Financial, and Customer performance.
Your key responsibilities will include developing an improvement plan with scheduled work programs (such as inlet works and screens), focusing on timely delivery of planned work and reactive capital maintenance, managing spend and benefits, and leading a motivated team with a focus on continuous improvement.
You will manage approximately 8 direct reports, around 80 indirect reports, and oversee a budget of £2-15m in Opex and Capex. Ensuring asset availability within regional targets while complying with LOLER & PUWER regulations is critical. The effectiveness of your team will be measured by metrics like Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Your main accountabilities include:
To succeed, you should have strong experience in Utilities, Maintenance, or Operations, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical background. Leadership skills, financial acumen, and experience managing large budgets are essential.
