Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Regional Head of Maintenance for the Central region based at Northampton Village. You will lead maintenance operations, manage planned and reactive repairs, and ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality living environments for residents.

The role requires leadership experience in property/maintenance, knowledge of building services, and a proactive approach to maintenance. 40-hour week with on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a property or maintenance repair role and a good understanding of building services.
• Health and safety or building/electrical/plumbing qualification advantageous.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping; good IT skills and knowledge of statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop maintenance staff; keep records of instructions and equipment use.
• Assist with inductions, including emergency exits and evacuation procedures.
• Advise on-call situations and emergencies; respond to Village needs.
• Report defects to Village manager and escalate as needed.
• Ensure external building and grounds are maintained safely and to standard.
• Check boilers for leaks and correct temperatures.
• Ensure health and safety checks comply with regulations.
• Adhere to purchasing procedures to minimize waste and costs.
• Maintain workshops and tool/equipment safety.
