Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead H&S across multiple civil engineering, construction and maintenance projects in the Surrey/Berkshire region with travel to sites around London and Home Counties.

You will mentor a team of H&S Advisors, drive a strong safety culture and oversee inspections, audits and investigations while engaging with operations and senior stakeholders to deliver high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Health & Safety in civil engineering or construction.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• IOSH membership or working towards membership desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor a team of Health & Safety Advisors.
• Drive a positive safety and wellbeing culture across projects and teams.
• Conduct site inspections and supply chain audits.
• Lead and support incident investigations.
• Monitor Health & Safety performance and drive improvements.
• Engage with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Support Health & Safety training and communications.
