Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a Tier 1 contractor within the M&E department across London and the South region. The role focuses on site-based health and safety, with a strong emphasis on construction environments and RAMS development.

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent, have construction experience (M&E desirable), a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent.
• Experience in construction required; M&E experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Confident in working in a multi-site role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily H&S inspections across construction projects.
• Review and help develop RAMS, toolbox talks, and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical, on-site advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.
• Support investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Deliver safety briefings and training sessions when required.
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation including CDM Regulations.
• Promote and strengthen a positive safety culture across all projects.
