Job summary

Principal People are working with a growing organisation to appoint a Regional Health and Safety Manager. This on-site, multi-site role focuses on driving cultural change and continuous improvement across locations in Wakefield and beyond.

You will lead HSE compliance, develop risk assessments and safe systems of work, and champion a proactive safety culture with senior stakeholders. NEBOSH Diploma is required and experience in high-risk sectors is preferred.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma certificate required.
• Experience in high-risk sectors such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Waste/ Recycling, Engineering, etc.
• Operational safety environment experience.
• Experience leading a team in health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead cultural change across health, safety and environment.
• Manage HSE compliance across sites.
• Ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and reviewed.
• Develop, implement and maintain safety action plans and compliance programmes.
• Manage accident, incident and near-miss reporting with thorough investigations.
• Embed proactive safety culture across the business.
• Be visible and operate across locations, promoting behavioural safety.
