Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Regional Health & Safety Manager to oversee HSE across multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects in Scotland and the UK, reporting to the Senior HSE Manager. You will lead a regional HSE team, develop plans, conduct training, audits, incident investigations, and drive continuous safety improvements while engaging with clients and regulators.

The role requires NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH membership, 3–5 years with Tier 1/2 contractors,

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required; commitment to professional development.
• IOSH membership; Chartered status preferred.
• Experience in senior HSE role in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
• 3–5 years with Tier 1/2 civil engineering contractor.
• Proven experience managing people across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional HSE across multiple projects.
• Lead and develop regional HSE team.
• Develop, review and maintain project documentation (PMPs, Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments).
• Oversee inductions, toolbox talks and safety engagement activities.
• Provide specialist HSE guidance to site management.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
• Identify and mitigates regional risks.
• Monitor HSE performance and report KPIs.
• Represent the business in client meetings and regulatory discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practice.
• Coach site teams on safety and accountability.
