Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support the Southern Region. This hybrid role combines home-based work (≈40%) with site-based activity (≈60%) across multiple locations, primarily based at Hitchin with regular travel to sites.

You will advise managers on HR matters across the full employee lifecycle and drive people strategies to support business growth. The role requires strong employee relations experience, solid knowledge of UK employment law, and the

Qualifications

• Proven HR generalist experience in a multi-site operational environment.
• Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases end-to-end.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with managers at all levels.
• Experience supporting recruitment and workforce planning.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across several sites.
• Excellent communication skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional and site managers to provide commercially focused HR advice and support.
• Coach and develop management capability across operational leaders.
• Manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance matters.
• Support investigations, hearings and appeals with fair and legally compliant outcomes.
• Provide expert advice on employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
• Lead recruitment activity across the Southern Region and support workforce planning.
• Develop strategies to improve attraction and retention of operational employees.
• Support organisational change, restructures and business growth initiatives.
• Identify trends in turnover, absence and engagement and propose improvements.
• Support employee engagement activities to enhance culture, wellbeing and retention.
• Assist with integration of acquired businesses and alignment of HR processes.
• Maintain accurate HR records and management information.
