Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Regional HR Assistant to support our B&Q retail logistics operation across Swindon and Worksop. The role covers day-to-day employee lifecycle activities, HR policy application, and data standards across multiple sites.

It is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel. You will handle contracts, onboarding, right-to-work checks and GDPR-compliant records, while supporting managers and colleagues with HR processes

Qualifications

• Experience as a high-volume HR assistant or coordinator.
• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is desirable with room for development.
• Comfort working in operational, unionised environments and willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end HR assistance across multiple sites (contracts, variations, starters, leavers, right-to-work checks, references, probation).
• Maintain accurate HR systems and personnel files with GDPR compliance.
• Support employee relations by preparing documents, tracking timelines and meetings notes.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities (ads, interviews, offers, pre-employment checks).
• Produce regular HR reports (headcount, starters/leavers, absence, probation).
• Serve as first point of contact for HR admin queries and escalate as needed.
