Job summary

Equans is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to cover Birmingham and the West Midlands on a permanent basis. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with hybrid working, needing on-site presence Tue–Thu.

You will guide contracts to meet safety and environment standards, and lead regional SHEQ initiatives across multisite FM operations. Reporting to the Senior SHEQ Manager, you will deliver safety improvements, manage data reporting, and develop training matrices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable Health & Safety leadership across multiple sites.
• Experience delivering SHEQ compliance to statutory standards.
• Knowledge of near-miss, incident reporting and investigation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional SHEQ across contracts to meet standards and guidelines.
• Record and report all safety data and ensure data accuracy.
• Develop and implement SHEQ action plans per contract with senior management.
• Lead investigations and provide root-cause analysis with actionable recommendations.
• Mentor Safety Ambassadors and drive SHEQ culture at sites.
