Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Regional Generator Engineer to service and maintain a range of power equipment up to 500KVA across customer sites. You will travel within the GAP fleet, identifying faults on Stage V generators, AMF/MDU, and distribution systems while updating service records.

Base location is the Cleckheaton depot; applicants should be suitably located. A competitive salary with bonus, company van, and extensive employee benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel Generator Engineer or similar role.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines and generators; training provided on specialist equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Customer-focused approach and team player mentality.
• Valid driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect and repair equipment within GAP fleet.
• Identify faults on Stage V generators, AMF/MDU, and distribution equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on conducted work.
• Ensure safe, efficient servicing and maintenance of power equipment.
• Keep depot location in Cleckheaton as base and coordinate with regional team.

As a sub division of GAP Pump Services, GAP Power Services provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for our stage V generator fleet, including associated ancillaries. GAP Power Services includes a large range of generators, fuel Tanks, Cables and MDU/AMF panels power solutions.

As a Regional Generator Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of Power services & equipment up to 500KVA within the GAP fleet.

As part of our high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for traveling across our customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including Stage V Generators, AMF/MDU and Distribution & Cable, whilst accurately updating service records.

**Please note, this role will be based out of our depot in Cleckheaton and therefore candidates should be suitably located.**

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience within a diesel Generator Engineer role is essential
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines and generators is highly desirable however full training will be provided on our specialist equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
• A valid driving would be preferable but not essential.
