Job summary

GAP Group's GAP Power Solutions in Warrington is seeking a Regional Generator Engineer to service and repair Stage V diesel generators up to 500KVA. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and keep accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a diesel Generator Engineer role is essential.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines and generators is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to identify and repair faults or damage on equipment up to 500KVA.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance to ensure high availability of GAP fleet.
• Accurately update service records and work within a regional team.

As a sub division of GAP Pump Services, GAP Power Solutions provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for our stage V generator fleet, including associated ancillaries. GAP Power Solutions includes a large range of generators, fuel tanks, cables and MDU/AMF panels power solutions.

As a Regional Generator Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of power services & equipment up to 500KVA within the GAP fleet.

As part of our high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for traveling across our customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including Stage V Generators, AMF/MDU and Distribution & Cable, whilst accurately updating service records.

Location

This role will be based out of our depot in Warrington and therefore candidates should be within commutable distance.

Requirements

• Proven experience within a diesel Generator Engineer role is essential
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines and generators is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer‑focused approach, workload management and committed team player
• A valid driving licence would be preferable but not essential
