Role Overview:

We seek a Regional General Manager within our Network Transport Solution sector working on behalf of our consumer network. You will hold full accountability for several locations within your region and play a key role in the strategic operation, delivering excellence of contracts such as KP, Colgate and Burton Biscuits to name a few! You will lead multiple transport operations, manage change, and drive performance to ensure we meet our high standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage multiple transport operations within your region, ensuring optimal performance across all sites.
• Lead and develop Transport Operational teams, with direct reports being General Managers, to foster a high-performing environment.
• Strategically manage and develop the transport network within your region while integrating nationally to optimize costs and unlock synergies.
• Accountable for performance metrics (KPI, Cost, Safety, Service, and People) of the transport operation.
• Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including customers, contractors, trade unions, and suppliers.
• Manage change within the network while maintaining service levels and performance standards.
• Monitor and challenge performance levels across all sites to ensure continuous improvement.
• Responsible for the P&L for the region, driving cost efficiency and service excellence.

What do we need from you?

• Proven experience in transport operations management, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Experience of a closed book, multi customer or complex contract transport environment
• A mindset to challenge the status quo and drive for growth
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage change effectively while maintaining service levels.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Located within the north west.
