Job summary

Hunter James Recruitment Ltd is assisting a well established National organisation in their search for an experienced Fleet Engineer to join their busy team covering the South UK area.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in a similar role with a background in HGV maintenance, be able to manage an extensive fleet and work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high IT literacy and compliance with drivers' policies.

Qualifications

• Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Simular role with a background in HGV Maintenance.
• Experience of Managing an extensive Fleet of Vehicles.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• A high level of IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department
• Management of Fleet and all compliance issues within the fleet
• Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.
• Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained
• Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team
• Work closely with the team ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to.
• Uphold and enforce the drivers' compliance policy.
• Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management.
• Ensure continuous legal management of drivers' hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year
