Job summary

Perrys Motor Sales Ltd is seeking a Regional Financial Controller to cover the Yorkshire region. You will report to the Finance Director and provide financial support to Regional Directors, ensuring timely, accurate management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will lead the accounting function, drive best practices, and maintain strong governance and controls across the business, supporting Working Capital management and regional reporting.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification ACA, CMA or ACCA or relevant finance experience.
• Strong governance and procedural knowledge to develop internal systems and process controls.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficient MS Excel skills and financial software competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support to Regional Directors and Finance Director.
• Produce and ensure accuracy of management accounts and reconciled balance sheets.
• Complete group reports in a timely manner and manage working capital.
• Lead the accounting function and drive best practices with strong financial controls.
• Implement and maintain robust internal processes and governance across the region.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business decisions.

Joining us as a Regional Financial Controllers means you will responsible for ensuring that the financials in the region are managed in accordance with the company, FCA and legal requirements. About the role:

• Covering the Yorkshire region
• Reporting to the Finance Director, the role is to provide financial support to the Regional Directors, implement and ensure adherence to group policies.
• Manage production and accuracy of management accounts, ensure balance sheets are fully reconciled.
• Ensure all group reports are completed in a timely manner and manage Working Capital.
• A key position within the senior management team, providing leadership for the accounting function
• Driving improvements through implementing best practice and strict financial controls across all aspects of the business.

About you:

• You will have relevant professional qualification (ACA, CMA or ACCA) and/or relevant experience.
• You will be able to demonstrate strong governance and procedural knowledge to develop internal systems and process that will ensure a highly efficient and well controlled finance function
• We are looking for an effective communicator, with excellent self-organisational ability with attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
• Good IT skills including MS Excel.
