Job summary

Biffa is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the Cressex area with travel as required. You will partner with Regional Finance Managers and the Southern Area Director to drive performance, deliver management accounts and insights, and maintain robust financial controls across our Southern Region.

In this role you’ll lead budgets and forecasts, perform investment appraisals, and work with Operations teams to translate financial insight into improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong management accounting experience, ideally in service/logistics/operationally focused environment.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence performance with operational teams.
• Advanced Excel and systems skills to turn financial data into actionable insight.
• Analytical and proactive with keen attention to detail and ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial finance support and insight.
• Lead robust budgets, forecasts and investment appraisals, challenging assumptions.
• Deliver timely management accounts, reporting, KPIs and variance analysis.
• Build relationships with Operations and site teams to identify performance improvements.
• Undertake benchmarking and performance reviews to drive targeted improvements and controls.
