Job summary

Biffa is recruiting a Commercial Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Corporate and Major New Business Sales. You will build financial models for new opportunities and provide insights to influence profitable decisions.

The role focuses on commercial finance, reporting, and performance analysis with a strong emphasis on data, Power BI, and Excel to drive improvement across the tender process and pricing decisions. Remote role with site travel as required.

Qualifications

Commercial finance experience 2+ years in a sales, tendering or new business environment.
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills to assess profitability and influence decisions.
ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification desirable but not essential.
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills for data-driven insights and automation.
Strong stakeholder skills to challenge assumptions and communicate clearly to non-finance audiences.
Well-organised, proactive and able to travel to Biffa sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Partner with Corporate and Major New Business Sales teams to provide commercial finance insight and challenge during the sales and tender process.
Provide insightful financial reporting and performance analysis including month-end, budgeting and forecasting with key drivers and risks.
Analyse sales and commercial performance, win/loss trends and drivers to boost conversion and profitability.
Lead calculation and governance of sales incentive schemes with accurate bonus reporting.
Drive continuous improvement and strengthen business partnering with Finance, Sales and Operations, including data/system improvements like Power BI and Excel.
