Job summary

Cast UK Limited is recruiting a Field Service Manager in Manchester to lead a geographically dispersed team of Field Service Engineers across the North. The role focuses on people management, performance improvement and building a high‑performing regional operation.

You will translate business objectives into regional plans, coach and develop engineers, and drive accountability while collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure consistent service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record of managing performance and driving improvements.
• Experience translating business strategy into regional plans and objectives.
• Confident using KPIs, dashboards and management information to measure performance.
• Hands-on, engaging leadership style with coaching and development focus.
• Ability to address underperformance and hold people accountable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the region and provide strategic leadership to a dispersed team of Field Service Engineers.
• Translate service strategies into regional plans, priorities and targets.
• Lead, motivate and develop engineers with clear expectations and accountability.
• Conduct 1-2-1s, performance reviews and development discussions with coaching and feedback.
• Monitor regional performance against KPIs and use data to drive improvements.
• Identify skills gaps and succession opportunities across the region.
• Implement new processes and changes within the team and embed them effectively.
• Collaborate with other Regional Managers and stakeholders to share best practice.
