Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support site development and regulatory compliance in the London region. You will guide operations teams, develop environmental permits, and collaborate with government entities, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects across AWS facilities.

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent.
Experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory assessments.
Experience with environmental reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
Strong communication skills in English and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work under pressure with tight regulatory deadlines and good time management.
Experience coordinating with government agencies, contractors and engineers.

Responsibilities

Manage and ensure compliance with local and national environmental regulations.
Drive regional environmental programs with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
Ensure contractor and staff work conforms to Amazon standards and regulations.
Develop, analyze, and present environmental metrics to monitor performance.
Submit time-critical environmental reports to government agencies.
Conduct environmental audits, investigations and implement CAPAs.
Lead environmental permitting processes and negotiations with authorities.
