Job summary

Hunter Savage seeks a Regional Engineering Lead to manage maintenance, reliability and capital projects across four sites: Belfast, Dublin, Cork and Limerick. You will set engineering standards, drive continuous improvement and deputise for the Divisional Engineering Manager when required.

Based in Belfast with regular travel to sites island-wide, you will lead contractors, develop staff, and ensure safety and ESG commitments are met while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Degree in engineering (or equivalent, with significant hands‑on industry experience).
• Strong technical grounding across mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• A track record of leading change and driving continuous improvement.
• Capital project delivery experience, including contractor management.
• Commercial awareness and experience working alongside operations and commercial teams.
• Strong IT skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Full driving licence, own vehicle and flexibility to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Set clear engineering standards and procedures across four sites (Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, Cork).
• Implement and run a robust planned preventive maintenance (PPM) system.
• Deliver capital projects from business case through to handover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop and support maintenance and operational staff across the sites.
• Build strong relationships with site management and third-party suppliers.
• Set annual KPIs for uptime, downtime, costs and project delivery; drive recovery plans as needed.
• Keep documentation and reporting tight; digitise KPIs and maintenance records.
