Job summary

Lofthouse Group is exclusively handling a confidential search for a Regional Director, London & South East, based in London. You will lead the architecture function for a renowned AJ100 practice, guiding iconic projects and shaping the region's strategic direction.

Qualifications

• Qualified architect (RIBA or ARB registered).
• Senior leadership experience running a mid-large team.
• Hands on: visible in the studio, close to live projects.
• Based in, or able to commute daily into, London.

Responsibilities

• Take on full day to day leadership of the architectural service in London, including line management of the practice's other leaders in the region.
• Empower others to have success, lead by example and develop the team.
• High level oversight of all projects in the London/SE Region, as well as more direct hands on involvement in the largest, highest profile projects.
• Build the region's profile externally, representing the practice at industry events, panels and talks, and championing its people and work in the market.
• Bring more structure and consistency to how the team runs day to day, without losing the culture and collaborative spirit that makes it a great place to work.

A rare opportunity has opened up to lead the architecture function in London for a well established and highly respected AJ100 architecture practice, known for its deep sector specialism, work on iconic buildings, as well as a growing portfolio of design led work.

The Opportunity

About you

• You are a qualified architect (RIBA or ARB registered), with senior leadership experience running a mid-large team, or a clear, credible step up from leading a smaller team.
• You have real experience of complex existing building projects.
• You enjoy being hands on: visible in the studio, close to live projects, and comfortable balancing team leadership with client facing and business development work.
• You are based in, or able to commute daily into, London.
