Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Design Manager to lead design development across projects in the Cardiff region. The role involves coordinating client, subcontractor and design teams to ensure efficient design delivery, while applying CDM 2015 and safety in design principles.

You will identify design risks, help select designers, manage consultants and facilitate design programmes in collaboration with planners and information release schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with CDM 2015 and safety in design.
• Strong understanding of design development and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Manage client, subcontractor and design team relationships for efficient design development.
• Lead the design process in line with Galliford Try Building Management System.
• Apply CDM 2015 principles and safety in design.
• Identify and mitigate design risks across bids or projects.
• Assist in selecting designers and ensure competency checks.
