Job summary

Yorkshire Housing Limited is seeking a Regional Customer Engagement Officer to lead customer engagement across a defined West Yorkshire region, turning conversations into actionable insights. You’ll work with communities, partners and colleagues to ensure diverse voices are heard and translated into service improvements.

The role focuses on inclusive, accessible engagement, with activities such as workshops, surveys, and consultations, and offers a permanent contract with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer engagement, ideally within housing, the public or voluntary sector.
• Confident communication with diverse people and communities.
• Ability to gather feedback and turn it into meaningful action.
• Organised enough to manage a regional workload.
• Understanding of inclusion and accessibility importance.
• Ability to work with colleagues and external partners.
• Comfortable working independently and using initiative.
• Curious, adaptable and keen to develop.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagement across your allocated region, creating meaningful ways for customers to get involved (conversations, workshops, surveys, local events, advisory groups or consultations).
• Get people talking and ensure diverse voices are heard.
• Build relationships with customers, community groups and local partners.
• Turn feedback into insights, identifying themes and opportunities for action.
• Close the loop by showing customers what changed because of their input.
• Champion customer voice to shape services and improvements.
