Job summary

GCS Associates is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in construction supplies for a Business Development Manager in the South West & South Wales. The role focuses on driving demand among regional housebuilders, developers and contractors while collaborating with merchants and distribution partners.

The candidate will develop opportunities from initial contact to sale, engage with procurement, design and commercial teams, and build a strong CRM-driven sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales within construction, building products or related sectors.
• Proven ability to develop business with contractors, housebuilders, developers or end users.
• Commercial mindset with capability to identify and convert new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales across the South West & South Wales region.
• Manage and develop a region with turnover of circa £15m.
• Identify opportunities with housebuilders, developers, contractors and end users.
• Build relationships with builders’ merchants and distribution partners.
• Work with merchant sales teams on joint visits and opportunities; provide forecasts and CRM updates.
• Engage with procurement, commercial and design teams to move opportunities to sale.
• Typically spend four days per week in the field, with one day at home.
