Job summary

RNLI is seeking a Community Manager for South Wales and The Three English Counties. This home-based role requires regular regional travel and lives within the area covered. Salary range £35,853 – £42,181, permanent, full-time, with a vehicle provided.

You will be at the heart of strong community engagement, connecting volunteers, supporters and the public to our lifesaving mission. You’ll drive engagement across fundraising, retail and visitor experiences while expanding partnerships and income

Qualifications

• Proven significant experience of engaging supporters and volunteers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• People leadership experience, ideally leading volunteers.
• Experience seeking out and implementing new opportunities for improved performance.
• Experience supporting corporate or community partnerships.
• Understanding of Welsh language and culture is essential

Responsibilities

• Being connected to RNLI community and primary contact for engagement – from fundraising, retail to visitor experience.
• Empowering volunteer engagement crew to engage the public and grow support for the cause.
• Supporting volunteer engagement crew to achieve income, footfall and outreach goals.
• Being part of a regional team and shaping the future of RNLI engagement with care for staff, volunteers and supporters.
• Identifying and developing new income streams and partnership opportunities within your community
