Job description

We're looking for a strategic and commercially driven Regional Commercial Director to join our Building Solutions team. This role is based across the UK, with travel to London and Basingstoke required.

Location: London-based with national travel (Basingstoke, Sheffield, and other UK sites)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

As Regional Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth, profitability, and commercial success of our Building Solutions division. Strong commercial acumen, business expertise, and ability to influence will be critical in shaping our commercial strategy and strengthening client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Your day to day will include:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead and develop the Commercial team within Building Solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Bid & Contract Management: Oversee commercial reviews of bids, assessing contract terms, payment structures, risk factors, and operational impacts.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Building high-impact relationships, ensuring commercial and operational needs are met across the region.

  • You have a proven track record of scaling and managing a business unit or division.
  • You bring deep commercial expertise in construction contracts, frameworks, and profit optimisation.
  • You're a confident negotiator and influencer, skilled in stakeholder engagement and strategic decision-making.
  • You have significant experience in senior commercial roles within the construction industry.
