Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter is seeking a Clinical Education Manager (NHS AfC Band 8a) to lead the regional clinical education service across Clinical Education, EOC Education and Driving Education, ensuring high quality education and staff development.

Qualifications

• Education qualifications and leadership development relevant to clinical education.
• Postgraduate education and CPD in teaching and professional practice.
• Membership of a professional body and leadership qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional clinical education service across multiple counties.
• Ensure statutory and mandatory training compliance and onboarding.
• Provide senior leadership to education teams and education leads.
• Ensure education quality, governance and alignment with clinical guidance.
• Collaborate with senior operational colleagues to manage priorities.

Education

Relevant adult teaching qualification e.g. PGCE Cert Ed or equivalent

Degree (level 6) with postgraduate education

Continued professional development in clinical education, leadership

Management or leadership qualification

Membership of relevant professional body e.g. College of Paramedics

Master’s degree or progressing towards it in education/leadership/healthcare

Specialist clinical education, simulation, assessment or practice education qualification
