Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to lead the Civil Engineering capability across the South West, Wales and Midlands from Cardiff hybrid base. You will own projects, develop client relationships and mentor a growing team, with senior management support.

The role offers a clear path to lead a regional Civil Engineering function, combining technical delivery, project leadership and business development in a collaborative consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant UK consultancy experience within Civil Engineering.
• Strong background in development infrastructure and building-related Civil Engineering.
• Experience with drainage strategies and detailed drainage design.
• Knowledge of flood risk assessment and Section 38/278 schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Civil Engineering capability across the South West, Wales and Midlands.
• Scope projects and prepare fee proposals.
• Assist with business development activity to grow and diversify the Civil Engineering offering.
• Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Attend client meetings to establish project requirements and provide technical advice.
• Oversee Civil Engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
• Deliver drainage strategies and detailed drainage design.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
