About The Role

Are you a Surveyor with proven experience and qualifications to match? Do you have experience working within the social housing sector or have a desire to? If so, we want to hear from you. We have an exciting opportunity for Regional Building Surveyors to join our talented team. This role is responsible for the strategic overview of the regional housing stock to facilitate the effective maintenance of LiveWest's growing housing portfolio. The successful candidate will require an integrated approach with all other Property Services departments and close regular liaison with the wider investment team and Day to Day repairs team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed resolutions and project management in respect of complex repairs and issues relating to our customers' properties.
  • Provide an informed surveying role with knowledge of the housing stock, working in close liaison with other departments.
  • Ensure liaison with customers, clients and external agencies involved within specified projects, providing technical advice and guidance to colleagues and customers as required. Undertake site visits to monitor works.

This role is full time, permanent, 37 hours per week. We are also able to offer compressed hours of 37 per week worked over 4 days. Roles are based in the Plymouth/Torquay and Exeter area. About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Regional Building Surveyor, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role-specific skills and experience:

  • Have exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage customers and communicate effectively and confidently.
  • Ideally have experience working in customers properties.
  • Be highly competent and motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Extensive domestic dwelling experience from a technical management perspective, demonstrating understanding of the built environment.
  • Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to management of housing and the construction industry including CDM.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
