Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking a dedicated Case Officer to join our Ireland casework team, delivering direct welfare guidance to beneficiaries across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You will assess needs, coordinate with regional specialists, and ensure integrated, person-centred support.

Based mainly at home with regular travel in NI/ROI and occasional national travel for training, the role requires a valid driving licence and an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence is essential.
• Enhanced DBS check required as part of pre-employment checks.
• Role is primarily homebased with regular travel within NI and ROI; occasional national travel for training/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage casework support and provide direct welfare guidance to beneficiaries.
• Assess needs and coordinate with regional specialists and external providers for integrated support.
• Support Area Casework Services Manager and Head of Welfare with beneficiary needs analysis to inform service commissioning.
• Advise beneficiaries on available support and assist access to services.
• Develop relationships with local welfare providers and Legion services to enable appropriate referrals and support.
• Collaborate with Specialist Service teams, Recovery team, Branch Community Support and care homes to share knowledge.
