Job summary

OPDC Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation is seeking an experienced Development Manager to oversee strategic development projects, support land assembly and procurement, and manage financial control across a busy regeneration portfolio in London. You will work with internal teams and external partners to deliver housing and infrastructure goals within a complex political landscape.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (chartered surveyor or similar) and appropriate experience in real estate development, property regeneration, or major residential/mixed-use delivery.
• Negotiating ability within complex and political environments.
• Experience of planning and development and understanding of place making principles.
• Awareness of project financing and management structures with the ability to interpret and interrogate financial appraisals thoroughly and convincingly.
• Experience of managing supply contracts including professional services, and good financial and contract management in the property sector.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of London housing and regeneration issues.

Responsibilities

• Managing strategic development projects to facilitate redevelopment of Old Oak and other OPDC led projects.
• Support the wider Delivery team including land assembly, development, infrastructure and design teams.
• Provide financial control of projects, deliver to milestones and project objectives.
• Develop relationships with landowners, developers, investors and JV partners.
