Job summary

Integra Resourcing is seeking to recruit for waste collection roles in Penrhyndeudraeth. The positions involve collecting household, commercial and recyclable waste, loading materials onto vehicles, and returning bins after collection.

Candidates should have good physical fitness, be able to work outdoors in all weather, and follow health and safety procedures. Reliability and teamwork are essential, with additional training provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a crew.
• Previous waste collection or manual labour experience may be beneficial but is often not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect household, commercial, and recyclable waste from designated routes.
• Load waste and recycling materials onto collection vehicles.
• Empty bins, wheelie bins, and waste containers safely.
• Return bins to their correct locations after collection.
• Assist the driver with route navigation and vehicle manoeuvring when required.
• Identify and report hazardous waste, damaged bins, or collection issues.
• Maintain cleanliness in collection areas and help prevent litter during collections.
• Use PPE correctly.

DUTIES:

• Collecting household, commercial, and recyclable waste from designated routes.
• Loading waste and recycling materials onto collection vehicles.
• Emptying bins, wheelie bins, and waste containers safely.
• Returning bins to their correct locations after collection.
• Assisting the driver with route navigation and vehicle manoeuvring when required.
• Identifying and reporting hazardous waste, damaged bins, or collection issues.
• Maintaining cleanliness in collection areas and helping prevent litter during collections.
• Using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
