Job summary

Speedy, the UK's leading hire provider, is recruiting a Refurb Engineer based in Tamworth. You will be responsible for repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, predominantly light plant and power gear, ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturers specifications.

We offer on-the-job training, career development, and a range of benefits; standard hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, totaling a 40-hour week with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally within hire industry or other engineering field.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Commercially aware.
• Able to understand priorities, plan and organise the work and manage own time to deliver within timescales.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, predominantly light plant and power equipment.
• Ensure work is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards and manufacturers specifications.
• Work on equipment that is on hire/on-site/at depots or returned to workshops by depots in the region.

Based in the depot in Tamworth,We are looking to recruit aRefurb Engineer. The overall purpose of this role is to provide overall responsibility for the repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, predominantly light plant and power equipment that is either on hire/on-site/at depots or returned to workshops by depots in the region, ensuring that all work undertaken is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards and is in line with manufactures specifications.

• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
