Job summary

Publica Group Ltd is seeking a Housing Solutions – Homelessness Officer to join the Housing team in Witney on a fixed-term maternity cover. The role focuses on supporting households from refugee resettlement schemes who are homeless or at risk, delivering advice and prevention services.

You will assess housing applications, determine statutory duties, work with partners to secure sustainable housing, and visit applicants in person to assist with private rented options.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or homelessness services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers presenting as homeless and determine housing duty.
• Create individual housing plans reflecting needs and circumstances.
• Source appropriate short and long-term accommodation to discharge duties.
• Assist with daily running of homeless hostel(s).
• Manage a caseload of people with complex housing needs.
• Empower households to find their own housing solutions.
