Job summary

Changing Lives in North Tyneside is seeking a Refuge Support Worker to help deliver the Domestic Abuse Service refuge and helpline. You will provide trauma-informed support to residents, helping them feel safe and supported as they rebuild their lives.

The role involves assisting with daily refuge operations, safety planning, risk assessment and admissions, and coordinating the 24-hour helpline for those affected by domestic abuse within the Integrated model.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic abuse support or refuge settings.
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
• Commitment to helping individuals rebuild their lives.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the North Tyneside Integrated Domestic Abuse Service refuge and helpline.
• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to residents and families in refuge.
• Oversee new admissions and assist with daily refuge operations, safety planning and risk assessment.
• Operate the 24-hour helpline for anyone affected by domestic abuse in North Tyneside.
